Parkin and Denwood Ltd bespoke kitchen and bedroom manufacturers were struggling to find staff to fit their business needs. DurhamWorks helped them to recruit three apprentices with the right attitude to help the business thrive.

Parkin and Denwood Ltd had found it difficult in the past to find people with the right drive to work in their factory. DurhamWorks spoke to them about their business needs and shortlisted some suitable young people for them to interview.

DurhamWorks candidates Stephen, Mathew and Mitchell, showed exactly the sort of enthusiasm that the company were looking for in their interview and were offered jobs as Factory Operative Apprentices.

Taking on new staff means that the company have been able to increase productivity and meet their customer demands and are even now expanding their business with a new showroom opening on 3rd March 2018.

Company Director, Darren Marsden, praised DurhamWorks’ speedy processes and quality candidate-matching: “Young people are vital for business growth, DurhamWorks are crucial in identifying the right individuals for the right business. It was all very easy.”

Now that Parkin and Denwood Ltd have found staff with the right attitude, they’re looking forward to developing Stephen, Mathew and Mitchell and training them to become long term employees.
