Now you have left school do you think you could do with some additional help when it comes making the move from Year 11 to college, apprenticeships or employment?
DurhamWorks is a dedicated service to support young people aged 16-24 living in County Durham who are not in education, employment or training.
We are a partnership project between Durham County Council and nine organisations working together to offer information, advice and guidance to provide opportunities such as training, work experience and vacancy matching. We also offer tailored support to what a young person may need.
We would like to invite you to a drop in session at the Peterlee One Point Hub located within the Peterlee Leisure Centre on the Thursday 18 July between 12 noon and 3pm. We have qualified staff experienced in offering information, advice and guidance to young people.
DurhamWorks can also link young people into opportunities and vacancies exclusively for DurhamWorks participants and offer them the opportunity to get involved and take part in planned summer activities.
Once registered with DurhamWorks your son/daughter would receive: • Person-centred impartial careers, advice and guidance • Information on local training and educational provision • CV preparation and access to summer jobs • Information on skills, qualifications and work experience • Financial support with entering education, employment or training including travel costs, PPE, stationery, birth certificates, interview clothing and much more • Routeways into employment, traineeships or apprenticeships • Support with benefits, housing, and care arrangements
Everyone is welcome. If you are unable to attend the event on Thursday, just contact the team to arrange an alternative appointment. Call 03000 262 930 or email email@example.com
